Patrons make the paint blend better.

I love creating art. I spend hours and hours pushing paint and pixels around and there’s nothing else I’d rather be doing.

So I’m gonna keep doing it.

And there’s nothing anyone could do to stop me. That is a threat.

If my presence here, as an artist, has brought you any joy then my mission has been accomplished. Obviously, when I was younger I thought my mission would only be accomplished when I had achieved xyandz and had a big ol’ pile of money with the fame to match. My views are much different now. As I’ve developed in my journey, I came to realize that the thing I admired the most about my role models was their presence. The artists who mean the most to me are the ones who continue while they can. Even if they don’t get recognition or money. Them, just taking up space as artists, means the world to me.

So now it’s my turn to take up space. And I don’t know what I’m gonna do in this space, but I invite you to join me. One of the most important things for me is that my space and community are accessible, because that’s the whole point. The easiest way to make this space accessible is to make it free. So I’m not paywalling my community and I’m not asking for money for you to be here with me.

That being said, my preferred materials are expensive. When I’m in the middle of a painting, I could really use a pizza from the shop down the road. There’s equipment that I know I could make some really beautiful art with, if I had more money. But I don’t want to rush my artistic process just to turn my art into products, to make more money, to make more art. I want to take my time and not stress too much right now. I’m a patient person, and I don’t mind waiting for the good things that are coming my way while I work for it.

However, If you wanted to show your support financially and gift my studio as a Patron of the Arts, that would be really cool :)
